The Future of Electric and Mechatronic Drive Systems

Systems integrator, Technidrive will open the doors of its Northern Ireland facility for The Future of Electric and Mechatronic Drive Systems, a two-day exhibition held on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 September 2024. The event will showcase a range of industrial solutions from Technidrive, as well as technologies from partners including WEG, Bonfiglioli, OMB and VEGA. You can register for the free event here.

The exhibit will provide attendees with an opportunity to witness Technidrive’s extensive range of drive solutions. Exhibits include several technologies for the quarrying and mining sectors, such as the Drum Drive, a drive solution for heavy-duty conveyors that was launched at Hillhead 2024. Industry experts will also be on hand to discuss the benefits and payback opportunities of the market leading crusher unblock system.

Technidrive will also demonstrate its winch solutions and display real life MES deployment in a marine environment. On its in-house test rig, the exhibit will demonstrate the engineering and testing behind bespoke winches used for marine evacuation systems, offshore and passenger ferries. Other exhibits include compact permanent magnet motors, alternators for harsh environments, open gears, plus, a variety of VSD solutions including air-cooled systems and IP66 rated drives.

As a premier partner of motor manufacturer, WEG and a Bonfiglioli BEST partner, Technidrive has dedicated zones for each organisation at the site. VEGA Controls, the global sensor specialist, will also join the exhibitor line up. Experts from all partner organisations will be available to meet at the

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our partners, customers and potential customers to the facility in September,” said David Strain, director at Technidrive. “In addition to demonstrating our solutions, we’re fostering an environment for industry to come together, meet with experts and discuss potential solutions. WEG’s product experts for VSDs, alternators and electric motors will be on site, as will gear unit and mobile electrification engineers from Bonfiglioli and radar experts from VEGA.

“We’ll also be welcoming Sam Moffett, founder and director of Moffett Automated Storage, EY Entrepreneur of the year and Irish rally ace” added Strain. “His WRC specified rally car will be on display throughout the two-day event.”

The event will be held at Technidrive’s facility in Portadown, Co. Armagh. The 24,000 square ft premises is home to the company’s warehouse, engineering and operations teams. The facility — which underwent a £1.5 million investment in recent years — will provide the backdrop for the event with demonstrations hosted in the warehouse and additional exhibition space in covered outdoor areas.

Other systems on display include dairy and farming industry solutions such as Technivac and Techniflow — advanced control technology for milk pumps and vacuum equipment, plus OMB electric vibrating motors and stainless-steel gearboxes, motors and components from Dertec.
