UFODRIVE Appoints Richard Fitzgerald as Global Head of SaaS Product

UFODRIVE, the world’s fastest growing electric car rental and e-mobility provider, today announces the appointment of Richard Fitzgerald as Global Head of SaaS Product. In this newly created role at UFODRIVE, Fitzgerald is responsible for the company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform strategy; redefining and aligning product operations with both UFODRIVE’S overall business strategy and its customers’ needs across the globe.

Fitzgerald has over 20 years of experience in enterprise software development, being the original founder and CEO of Europe’s first real-time vehicle tracking platforms. Fitzgerald went on to create two successful software startups which he helped scale and led trade acquisitions for both.  Prior to joining the team at UFODRIVE, Fitzgerald held the position of Vice President, Global Product Management at Fiserv, one of the world’s largest FinTech.

Fitzgerald holds an honours degree in Management from Trinity College as well as diplomas in IT, Finance and Data Analytics from UCD. He is also a Certified Cloud Security Specialist (CCSP).

Richard Fitzgerald commented: “I am thrilled to be appointed to this new position at such a rapidly growing and ever-dynamic company, with the added benefit of doing good for planet and people by expanding electric vehicle uptake. Providing effective software for fleet managers is an essential, and often under-looked, part of this.”

Aidan McClean, CEO and co-founder of UFODRIVE, commented: “We are delighted to have such an experienced senior figure like Richard taking on this new role. His leadership will be needed considering the current period of exponential company growth. Under his watchful eye, we can continue expanding our EV fleet management platform and acquiring industry-leading names along the way.”
