OnLogic to Showcase Practical Physical AI and Full-Facility Workload Consolidation at Automate 2026

Industrial computing leader cuts through cloud AI hype with live edge use cases, next-generation Intel® Core™ Series 2 processing previews, and ultra-compact solutions for space-constrained environments at McCormick Place, Booth 867.

Industrial computing and edge solution specialists, OnLogic (www.onlogic.com), has announced its exhibition lineup for the upcoming Automate 2026 show at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, running June 22–25. Located in the South Hall at Booth 867, the company will focus on moving beyond abstract software hype into the practical execution of localized Physical AI, full-facility data collection, and advanced workload consolidation.

As industrial enterprises look to deploy artificial intelligence at scale, many initiatives are stalled by cloud latency, high bandwidth costs, and the operational risk of over-provisioned systems. OnLogic will demonstrate how right-sized, highly configurable edge hardware bridges the gap between sophisticated software models and the rugged realities of modern material handling, logistics, and automation.

“The automation sector is flooded with empty AI promises that look great in a lab but fail the moment they hit the real world: a high-vibration production line, a dusty warehouse, or anywhere temperatures swing beyond a climate-controlled office,” says Sheldon Sun, VP of Product Engineering at OnLogic. “Deploying Physical AI requires reliable computing power directly at the edge for real-time, deterministic action. Our resilient hardware helps companies safely and cost-effectively put smart ideas into action through system consolidation and right-sizing computing power to any size project.”

Grounding AI in physical reality: Live in-booth use cases

Visitors to Booth 867 will experience live, interactive demonstrations that showcase how edge computing transforms data streams into immediate physical operations without relying on a slow cloud connection:

  • Active Workplace Safety and Logistics: In partnership with viso.ai, OnLogic will feature a live demonstration of an active forklift near-miss detection system. The advanced computer vision software runs entirely at the edge on an OnLogic rugged computer right next to the camera, proving facilities can protect workers and optimize material handling traffic in real-time utilizing existing camera infrastructure.
  • Automated Quality Control Inspection: A live machine vision setup will utilize a fine-tuned YOLOv10 object detection model to scan rotating components for defects, instantly triggering a physical sorting solenoid to remove flawed units from the line.

Full-Facility Hardware Coverage

To prove that right-sized computing fits every corner of the modern industrial enterprise, the company will showcase its full spectrum of industrial and edge computer hardware, including:

  • The Helix 520 Series of industrial computers, capable of running multiple simultaneous containerized edge workloads.
  • The ultra-compact CL260 fanless computer for space-constrained DIN rail electrical cabinets.
  • The highly configurable Karbon 520 Series of rugged computers, ideal for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
  • A preview of updates to the Karbon 800 Series introducing an upcoming architecture update powered by the new Intel Core Series 2 processing family (code-named Bartlett Lake-S).
  • The high-performance Axial Series of rackmount edge servers for heavy localized data management and AI inference/training.
  • The debut of a 24″ touchscreen for the Tacton Series of industrial panel PCs.
