Vertiv Welcomes Secretary of State to its Campsie Site as Expansion Progresses; Hiring Momentum Continues Across Ireland and Northern Ireland

Ministerial tour highlighted investment in manufacturing equipment and warehouse expansion, and ongoing recruitment across the North West

Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, hosted the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP, and Colum Eastwood MP for Foyle, for a tour of Vertiv’s growing Campsie manufacturing facility earlier this week.

During the visit, Vertiv highlighted an investment in new machinery and warehouse expansion to increase throughput and enhance delivery performance for customers worldwide. The company also provided updates on previously announced ongoing expansion plans, continued recruitment efforts, and long-term commitment to the North West region. The visit followed Vertiv’s February announcement of a major manufacturing scaleup in Derry/Londonderry and County Donegal to meet accelerating global demand for electrical switchgear, as AI and high-performance computing drive unprecedented growth in digital infrastructure. Since then, Vertiv has progressed both investment and hiring across its three sites in the region.

“At Vertiv, we have built a unique combination of expertise and capabilities that differentiates us in the global data centre market,” said Paul Ryan, president for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Vertiv. “From our manufacturing operations in the North West and Ireland, we design, manufacture and deliver critical infrastructure that supports power distribution and enables the technologies at the heart of modern data centres. Our progress is driven by deep expertise, continuous innovation, disciplined investment, and, above all, our people. This is why we continue to invest in talent and job creation across our facilities in Ireland and Northern Ireland.”

Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Hilary Benn said, “I was delighted to tour Vertiv’s site in Campsie, and to hear about the company’s investment in the Derry/Londonderry area, which represents a vote of confidence in local manufacturing expertise. The North West of Northern Ireland is an area of huge opportunity, and the UK Government’s Industrial Strategy supports business investment to increase economic growth and create high quality jobs across the UK.”

Hiring momentum: strong response and continuing recruitment

Building on its recent Walk‑in Interview Day, where Vertiv welcomed about 250 attendees, recruitment remains open across the three sites, with another hiring open day planned in the coming weeks. Roles include electricians, panel wirers, mechanical fitters, general operators, and a breadth of engineering, quality, and support positions, with full‑ and part‑time opportunities.
