Exaktera Launches Global Vision Technology Brand Bringing Together Over 150 Years of Combined Heritage

Exaktera has brought together the expertise of specialty technology innovators under one global brand to create a single-source partner for reliable industrial machine vision components.

Exaktera unites niche market leaders including Advanced Illumination, autoVimation, LUMIMAX, ProPhotonix, VisioCablePro and Z-LASER, putting LED lighting, lasers, optical measurement systems and protective camera enclosures in one portfolio. The move allows manufacturers and OEMs to streamline the design of complex machine vision and photonics systems, tailoring solutions to each application and tap into deeper engineering expertise.

As manufacturers increasingly turn to automation to improve efficiency, productivity and safety, Exaktera draws on expertise from across the group to work alongside customers’ engineers, understand their applications and help them choose the right technology with confidence.

Exaktera presents the unified brand to the European machine vision industry at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart, where its stand will demonstrate how technologies from across the group can be applied to challenging inspection and automation applications. VISION takes place from October 6 to 8, with Exaktera exhibiting in Hall 10, booth 10C50.

As part of the move, Exaktera has restructured its sales and engineering teams across North America and Europe, making it easier for customers worldwide to reach the right specialists when they need them and get advice on the best approach for their application.

Its broader product range and manufacturing network also provide greater supply chain flexibility, helping to minimize disruption and enabling reliable long-term performance.

The change comes as supplier management takes up a growing amount of engineering time. The 2026 State of Manufacturing & Supply Chain report from Fictiv and MISUMI, based on a survey of 321 manufacturing leaders, found that 83% estimated engineers spend at least four hours a week finding and managing suppliers, requesting quotations, following up orders and carrying out other procurement tasks.

“People have known many of these businesses for decades, and several of them pioneered the technologies used across industry today. We are bringing all of that together and making it much easier for customers to access.” said Cindy Ye, CEO of Exaktera.

“Customers can bring us the problem they are trying to solve, rather than spend time working out which specialist supplier to approach. We can look across LED lighting, lasers, measurement systems and enclosures, bring in the right experts from the start and help them get to the right answer faster.”

Formed in 2021, Exaktera has grown revenue to over $55 million through acquisitions across specialist lighting, laser and vision technology sectors, with a combined heritage of over 150 years. It has over 375 employees, including 115 technical experts, working from sites across North America and Europe. The company works with over 50 Fortune 500 companies globally, over 150 distribution partners and operates four manufacturing sites.

Exaktera’s portfolio covers standard, configurable and custom LED lighting, including SMD and chip-on-board technologies, alongside laser modules and projectors, optical measurement systems, protective camera housings and mounting equipment.

“A datasheet can help you understand the product, but it doesn’t tell you how a light or laser will behave in a particular environment. For example, different ambient lighting conditions or the subtleties of a particular material’s reflectivity can dramatically influence image quality.” added Simon Stanley, Senior Director of Technology at Exaktera.
