Even greater selection: UNILOCK clamping systems from norelem

Systems for fast and precise clamping and referencing

More precision, less set-up time, maximum efficiency: norelem expands its clamping technology portfolio of zero-point clamping systems and 5-axis clamping modules from UNILOCK. The pneumatic zero-point clamping systems allow clamping and changeover of fixtures and tools in seconds. The 5-axis clamping module was specially developed for 5-sided machining of complex workpieces – both systems achieve repeatability better than 0.005 mm.

Zero-point clamping systems set a fixed reference point, from which workpieces are positioned and fixed with precision and repeatability. Elimination of the need for realignment shortens set-up times and boosts productivity. Also available: 5-axis clamping modules in sizes 80 and 50, for machining of objects with different geometries, formats, and weights from five sides with no interfering contours.

Safe and reliable: Pneumatic zero-point clamping systems

A new addition to the range is the UNILOCK EGM 110-75 clamping module. It is designed for use on machine tables or in fixtures, even in situations with limited space. It can also be integrated with an EGM 110-75 pallet coupler in automated robotic systems, for automated changeover of clamping pallets.

The UNILOCK ESA 138 clamping module is ideal for automated clamping devices. In addition to sensor functions, four special contact surfaces with air contact control ensure that the clamping device is fully fixed. In addition, a special scraper prevents the accumulation of impurities on the module.

The UNILOCK ASM 99 clamping module is an add-on module with a total height of 56 mm (with the clamping module). Alternatively, the module can also be fully integrated in a fixture plate or the machine table.

Each system features integrated sensor functions to ensure that the workpiece remains securely positioned at all times, thus preventing collisions with milling cutters or other tools.

Fully flexible mechanical 5-axis clamping module

This system allows complete machining of complex workpieces from five sides in a single clamping set-up. This is achieved by bolting the workpiece to the 5-axis clamping module. The modular design and the large range of modules (more than 70) and sizes, allows individual configuration of the system for numerous applications. By combining basic modules, add-on modules, and accessory components one can implement different heights, dock to interfaces, and machine complex workpieces with excellent repeatability.

The UNILOCK VARIO 5-axis basic module, for example, allows flexible positioning when clamping workpieces and fixtures. It can be mounted via the rail in the base with one or two UNILOCK clamping pins. If only one clamping pin is used, the VARIO basic module can rotate freely.

The UNILOCK DUO 5-axis basic module with three interfaces for clamping pins is used for sturdy, elevated set-ups with heavy workpieces. This provides a larger contact surface than with round basic modules. DUO basic modules can be used with the double interface positioned downwards or upwards.
