DIMO Maint, a subsidiary of DIMO Software, acquires Workmate CMMS, a long-standing UK player since 1991, strengthening its position as a global CMMS market leader

DIMO Maint announces the acquisition of the Workmate CMMS solution, developed by the British company Cayman Venture Limited, a recognised name in the UK Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) market for over 30 years. This strategic acquisition aligns with DIMO Maint’s ongoing international growth strategy and significantly strengthens its footprint in English-speaking markets.

Workmate CMMS: A Robust and Trusted Solution in the UK Market

Founded in 1991, Cayman Venture Limited has established itself as a key player in the UK by developing Workmate CMMS, a trusted solution used by hundreds of clients across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, services, food & beverage, and the public sector. Designed to meet the specific needs of maintenance departments, Workmate CMMS stands out for its reliability, user-friendliness, and ability to adapt to the most demanding technical environments.

Jean-Paul Genoux, Managing Director of DIMO Software, states:

“Following the successful acquisition of Trackplan in Ireland in 2021, which allowed us to strengthen our CMMS expertise in a demanding English-speaking environment, we are continuing our expansion strategy in the UK with the integration of Workmate CMMS. This new acquisition further reinforces our presence in English-speaking markets and aligns with our ongoing growth momentum. The UK is a strategic region for DIMO Maint, both for its development potential and the maturity of its industrial players.

By acquiring the Workmate CMMS solution, we are leveraging the experience of a seasoned local team and offering a loyal customer base an enhanced, future-ready solution. This partnership is also a wonderful human adventure: we share with the Cayman Venture Limited team the same passion for maintenance, a strong commitment to customer service, and a common vision focused on innovation and performance.”

Graeme Allon, Managing Director of Cayman Venture Limited, adds:

“We are extremely proud of the journey we’ve taken with Workmate CMMS since 1991. By joining forces with DIMO Maint, we are partnering with an organisation that shares our values and our strong commitment to our customers. This acquisition opens new opportunities for development, with greater resources, international expertise, and enhanced innovation capabilities. For our customers, this means not only continuity of service, but also the promise of a richer, more sustainable offering. We were truly impressed by DIMO Maint’s vision, and we are confident that this partnership marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in our story.”

A Strengthened Global Presence

Thanks to this new acquisition, DIMO Maint strengthens its presence in the UK by relying on a seasoned local team and well-established relationships with clients. This move is part of a consistent global expansion strategy, initiated notably with the acquisition of Trackplan in Ireland, aimed at building a strong network in the English-speaking countries.

Today, DIMO Maint operates in several key cities around the world: Toronto, Montreal, Limerick, Manchester, Munich, Kuala Lumpur, Mexico City, and in France in Lyon, Nantes, and Biarritz. This international presence reflects the Group’s commitment to supporting clients wherever they are, with local expertise backed by global support.

This ambition is further embodied by DIMO Maint MX, the next generation cloud-based CMMS solution, available in 18 languages to meet the needs of multisite and multicultural organizations. Recently certified to ISO 27001, the solution ensures the highest standards of data security and management—offering clients lasting confidence in their digital maintenance operations.

This acquisition fully aligns with DIMO Maint’s mission to deliver consistent expertise, proximity, and security on a global scale, while building strong, long-term customer relationships.
