Latest automation and digital trends in the segments of upstream, midstream and downstream was the main direction of Oil & Gas Automation and Digitalization Congress 2022. The Congress gathers Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, drilling contractors, pipeline operators, refineries, service providers and equipment manufacturers in Milan, Italy on October, 17-18, 2022.

The two-day business program included networking and interaction between top management, as well as opening CDO panel, sessions, leaders talks, roundtables, and closing panel devoted to the latest innovative industry trends. Oil & Gas experts from TotalEnergies, Wood, MOL Group, Equinor, Repsol, McDermott, TANAP Natural Gas Transmission Co., Eustream, Milazzo Refinery and TUPRAS refineries and other majors presented case studies, technologies and services.
The first day was opened by a welcome speech of Regina Chislova, Project Director, Nicola Ghirelli, Energy Maintenance and Production Services Director at Bonatti S.p.A, and Eugenio Sergio Longo, Sustainability Director – TCS Europe at Tata Consultancy Services. In frames of the Opening CDO Panel speakers talked about business resilience through digital transformation, digital strategies overview in connection to changes and impact of disruptive technologies on society. Then the agenda was divided into upstream, midstream and downstream that comprised sessions and roundtables regarding implementation AI and ML, Digital Twin application, digitalization of pipeline eco-system and acceleration digital progress towards net-zero emissions.
Over the past 5 years AUTOMA has connected over 1400 oil & gas leaders to power digital transformation. The 5th anniversary edition of AUTOMA once again gathered the leading players of the market to share digitalization strategies and explore new opportunities for transformation. The second day of the Congress covered topics of Artificial Intelligence in Oil & Gas, robotics and drones in upstream, digital data flow, compliance and integrity management, and others. The closing panel of AUTOMA 2022 was concluded with speakers from ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, LiveEO, Consolidated Contractors Company, Traent discussing solutions for oil & gas value chain and working with start-ups: the end user experience.
The registration for the sixth edition of Oil & Gas Automation and Digitalization Congress is already open. The Congress will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye on October 16-17, 2023.
