Enhancing Renewable Energy Efficiency

Beckhoff UK showcases future-ready technologies at All-Energy Show

To underscore its commitment to developing technologies that support energy efficiency and the use of renewable resources, automation technology expert Beckhoff UK has announced its participation in the All-Energy Show, the UK’s leading event for the renewable energy sector. The show, taking place from 15-16 May 2024 at the SEC, Glasgow, takes pride in being the largest low carbon energy and full supply chain renewables event.

The renewable energy sector is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by global initiatives to combat climate change and a collective shift towards sustainable energy sources. However, this growth brings with it a set of unique challenges, including the need for efficient integration of renewable technologies into existing energy infrastructures and the management of intermittent energy supplies.

Beckhoff UK’s stand at the All-Energy Show is set to showcase innovative technologies for enhancing efficiency and safety in the renewable energy sector. Key features include power monitoring solutions and the full TwinCAT HMI dashboard for real-time energy management, alongside 4G connectivity for flexible remote system oversight. The modular I/O systems and comprehensive safety offerings, including ATEX-rated components and condition monitoring, ensure that operations meet rigorous safety standards while remaining adaptable.

For the first time, Beckhoff UK will also unveil a third-party LoRaWAN gateway at the show, marking a significant expansion of its connectivity solutions for the renewable energy sector. This gateway facilitates long-range, low-power communication, making it an ideal choice for remote or difficult-to-reach locations within renewable energy facilities. By integrating this technology with its existing solutions and offering, Beckhoff aims to enhance the collection and transmission of data across vast energy networks, improving operational efficiency and the reliability of renewable energy sources.

“The renewable energy sector is at a critical juncture, facing challenges such as integrating diverse energy sources and enhancing system efficiency to meet increasing demands,” said Adam Carless, business development manager at Beckhoff UK. “Our participation in the All-Energy Show is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate how our advanced automation technologies can address these challenges head-on. By offering scalable and flexible solutions, we aim to assist in the seamless integration of renewable sources into existing grids, optimising energy production and distribution for a more sustainable future.”

Beckhoff UK’s team of experts will be available throughout the show at stand J49 to discuss how its technology can meet the specific needs of businesses looking to enhance their energy solutions. People wanting to visit the show can register on the All-Energy website.
