Advantech, a global leader in Industrial IoT and Edge AI solutions, will showcase its latest technologies for smarter, safer, and more efficient cities at Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2026, taking place November 3–5 in Barcelona, Spain.
At Hall 3, Booth C161, Advantech will highlight how Edge AI can turn data from sensors into real-time, actionable intelligence. Developed on NVIDIA technology and together with partners, the solutions will address intelligent video analytics, urban mobility, safety, and autonomous systems.
Bringing real-time intelligence to the city edge
Advantech will showcase a range of Edge AI solutions designed to make urban environments smarter, safer, and more efficient.
AI-powered video analytics. Advantech’s Video Analytics Platform (VSS), powered by NVIDIA Jetson Thor, will highlight real-time AI analysis for urban safety and mobility.
Physical AI for Smarter cities. Next-Gen Smart CityMind, powered by NVIDIA Jetson Thor running on Advantech’s AFE-A702, is an intelligent vision-language AI hub that sees, understands and acts through agentic AI on urban environments. EdgeSight Sentinel, on NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin running on Advantech’s AFE-R750, provides continuous AI-based visual monitoring with an agent that reports to Thor. Two on-device AI agents, one team: the hub directs, the field node delivers.
Intelligence from existing infrastructure. In collaboration with Technis (Videtics), Advantech will present real-time object classification, tracking, and event detection for buses and trains using existing CCTV cameras. The solution runs on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Advantech’s TREK-50N, illustrating how AI can enhance existing transport infrastructure.
LiDAR-based traffic monitoring. Together with Ouster, Advantech will showcase real-time traffic monitoring and analytics by combining Ouster Gemini and BlueCity 3D LiDAR technologies with Advantech’s MIC-733, accelerated by NVIDIA CUDA and TensorRT.
Extending Edge AI across the smart-city ecosystem
AI-powered analytics for public spaces. Macnica and Icetana AI will feature a video analytics solution for shopping malls, using NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell technology and Advantech’s MIC-770/MIC-785 GPU platforms to turn video feeds into actionable insights.
Edge AI for autonomous systems. A self-driving robot powered by an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64GB module and Advantech’s MIC-732 will illustrate how edge computing enables autonomous systems to operate in real-world environments.
Together, these solutions highlight how high-performance Edge AI computing, intelligent sensing, and advanced video analytics can help cities move from simply collecting data to understanding and acting on it in real time.
