Accu, one of the UK’s leading precision engineering component distributors, has established its first distribution centre in the US and appointed its first Managing Director for Accu Inc.
Accu chose Indiana as the ideal location for its new 10,000 sq ft distribution centre, as it is centrally located in the US, has extensive availability of warehousing space and is within close proximity to the company’s supply chain partners. Indiana is well known for its extensive manufacturing base, with its major industries including steel, automotive, electrical equipment and heavy machinery and from here Accu will serve the whole of the North America market.
“The changing global trade environment, has accelerated our plans to internationalise the business. We are excited to be opening a major distribution centre in Indiana, which will serve the North American market. Its strategic position as the state with the largest manufacturing sector in the US means that we are well placed to serve the wide range of industries here,” explains Daniel Ackroyd, Vice President of US Operations for Accu.
He adds: “Our Indiana distribution centre will serve primarily the home market and should lead to reduced delivery times for our US customers. Our plan is to grow our operations here and create a number of new jobs in the coming months.”
Giovanni (Gio) Cespedes takes up the role of Managing Director for Accu Inc with over 18 years’ US industrial market experience. This includes owning and operating a successful fastening distribution company, Falcon Fastenings in Charlotte, and later becoming North America Managing Director at global company TR Fastenings.
Giovanni was attracted to Accu because of its vibrant company culture and the exciting opportunity to directly support and serve US customers.

Back in the UK, Accu has reported a pre-tax profit of £2.12 million for the year to November 2025, up from £668,051 the previous year, with revenue rising by 24 per cent over the same period.
Accu’s recent results also show a 43 per cent year-on-year increase in gross margin, which the company attributes to its introduction of new product ranges, increase in suppliers and an expanded consignment stock model. This has enabled the company to offer more products for same-day dispatch on a global basis.
