WireMasters has appointed Chris Sayler as Technical Business Development Manager, strengthening its support for the Trusted Partners Program and its relationships with customers and wire harness manufacturers across the aerospace and defence industries.
Sayler brings more than 30 years of aerospace and defence experience, with leadership roles spanning business development, operations, manufacturing, wire harness production, kitting and executive management. He has also held positions with J&M Products, Rogue Aerospace and Hupp Aerospace & Defense, supporting growth in wire harness manufacturing, kitting solutions, clamps and precision machined components.
WireMasters’ Trusted Partners Program brings together suppliers, engineering teams, procurement organisations and wire harness manufacturers to strengthen collaboration across the value chain and improve the delivery of critical products.
In his new role, Sayler will work with customers, suppliers and wire harness manufacturers to identify opportunities to engage earlier in the engineering and procurement process. This will include supporting material selection, sourcing strategies and supply-chain risk management, while helping manufacturers respond to increasingly demanding customer requirements.
“Going back to the wire harness fabrication market six years ago, I continued to rely on WireMasters as my primary distribution partner and maintained strong relationships with many people there,” said Chris Sayler, Technical Business Development Manager at WireMasters. “The opportunity to combine my technical and industry background with this strategy, while helping strengthen partnerships throughout the wire harness fabrication market, made returning to this side of the industry a natural fit.”
Sayler’s experience within manufacturing gives him a direct understanding of the challenges facing wire harness manufacturers, including material availability, extended lead times, compressed quoting cycles and limited engineering resources. By combining this insight with WireMasters’ supply-chain visibility inventory and forecasting capabilities, he will help partners identify material solutions, evaluate requirements, accelerate quoting and mitigate supply risk.
“Our ability to speak to our customers’ language and understand their processes allow us to be more than a supplier – we can be a true partner,” Sayler said. “By understanding the challenges they face in manufacturing, engineering and supply chain management, we can apply experience from across the entire value stream.”
Sayler’s initial priorities will focus on learning from WireMasters’ leadership and sales teams, building on existing relationships and developing new ones with customers, suppliers and manufacturing partners. He will also identify wire harness manufacturers and OEMs that can benefit from the Trusted Partners Program and the broader support available from WireMasters.
Ultimately, Sayler aims to help position WireMasters as a trusted partner and solutions provider that contributes directly to the growth and success of its customers and manufacturing partners.
