Renishaw sponsors special Award at EMO Hannover exhibition

Renishaw, a world leader in measuring and manufacturing systems, recently sponsored the EMO MX Value Award 2025, one of the most prestigious recognitions for manufacturing excellence in Europe. The award ceremony took place on 24 September at EMO Hannover, the world’s leading trade fair for production technology.

This new award was organised by MX Manufacturing eXcellence e.V..The German-based non-profit organisation promotes the transfer of knowledge between business and science, and supports companies in German-speaking countries in strengthening their long-term competitiveness and corporate culture. It also runs the highly respected annual MX Awards in Germany.

The EMO MX Value Award, which was open to entries from all exhibitors at the EMO exhibition, recognises practical manufacturing solutions that increase efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in industrial production. Ten finalists were shortlisted from around 100 applications, with the judging panel consisting of MX experts, industry partners and previous MX award winners.

As part of its sponsorship, Renishaw’s Additive Manufacturing team used their innovative AM technologies to design and 3D print bespoke metal award trophies for first, second and third-placed winners. Rainer Lotz, President of Renishaw’s EMEA region, presented the EMO MX Value Award to tepcon GmbH (Germany),  with second and third place trophies awarded to ZELL Systemtechnik GmbH (Germany) and Royal Products (USA) respectively.

“Productivity, efficiency and sustainability are key benefits delivered to our customers from the use of Renishaw’s technologies. We were delighted to support an award that not only celebrates excellence but also inspires manufacturers to continuously improve and push the boundaries of what is possible,” said Lotz.
