Avnet Silica, an Avnet company (AVT), will showcase a range of smart city applications at the ‘Avnet City’ booth (Hall C2), Stand 101 at electronica 2022 from 15th to 18th November in Munich, Germany.

Smart city solutions are shaping the buildings and homes of the future, to make our cities smarter, greener, and more secure. A variety of use cases will be presented, including EV charging, air quality monitoring, waste control, smart grid and energy management, E-mobility, and vehicle and traffic analytics.

Six virtual demo stations will showcase the technologies that are driving change and innovation in the cities of tomorrow, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, advanced analogue, industrial communications, power, and wireless communications, as well as specific solutions such as IoT, security, embedded, software and eUICC.

Highlights include:

  • Condition-based maintenance system for monitoring health, uptime and interval to next service for machines and tools
  • Smart parking use-case utilising real-time parking lot detection within a city`s open spaces
  • Asset tracking to locate goods, personnel or capital machinery enabling supply chain visibility at all times

Avnet Silica will also demonstrate one of the world’s first full Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC implementations on an industrial i.MX8 platform. This is replacing x86-based platforms, saving energy and cost with full x86 API32 application compatibility.

During the show, visitors are invited to discuss their design projects with Avnet Silica’s technology experts, who can also advise on software, services, and solutions.
