World’s Largest Additive Manufacturing Recruitment Agency Rebrands as Kensington360 to Reflect Full Industry 4.0 Coverage

After nearly two decades supporting engineering and advanced manufacturing businesses worldwide, Kensington360 has completed a major brand evolution, rebranding from Kensington Additive to Kensington360 to better reflect the full breadth of Industries it already serves across the Industry 4.0 landscape.

The business became the world’s first recruitment agency to specialise in additive manufacturing in 2014, building a global reputation within 3D printing and advanced manufacturing. Alongside this specialism, Kensington has consistently supported clients across Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, Automation, Machine Tools, MedTech, Calibration and Metrology, Advanced Materials, Energy, and Aerospace and Defence, expertise that is now formally represented within the Kensington360 brand.

Founded in 2006 on the principle of engineers recruiting engineers, Kensington has built long-standing partnerships with manufacturers and technology-led organisations across the UK, Europe, and the USA, focusing on technical understanding, quality-led recruitment, and long-term impact.

“Our work has always extended far beyond a single discipline,” said founder Phillip Hodson. What has changed is the way manufacturing technologies now intersect. Kensington360 reflects the reality of how we have supported clients for years, across connected systems rather than isolated functions.”

From Recognised Specialist to Integrated Industry Partner

Kensington Additive launched in 2014 as additive manufacturing emerged as a transformative technology. Over the following decade, the business became widely recognised for its deep technical knowledge and global network within the sector.

At the same time, client engagements increasingly spanned adjacent and interconnected disciplines, as manufacturing environments evolved to combine Robotics, Automation, Digital Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, and Precision Engineering. The Kensington360 brand brings this integrated approach into clear focus.

The name represents:

  • 360° coverage across Industry 4.0 and emerging Industry 5.0 technologies
  • 360° perspective on workforce planning, talent strategy, and long-term outcomes
  • 360° quality, rooted in proven recruitment process, compliance, and technical understanding

A Brand Aligned With the Future of Industry

The rebrand is now live, supported by the launch of a newly refreshed website, kensington360.com, which brings together the business’s full Industry coverage in one place.

The website features live engineering roles across all supported Industries, alongside free-to-download market intelligence and Industry reports, offering insight into skills demand, hiring trends, and the evolving needs of modern manufacturing.

Independently owned, Kensington360 continues to operate with a consultant-led model, with the majority of its team holding Certified Recruitment Practitioner status and working to REC-accredited standards.

“Manufacturing businesses need partners who understand how talent fits into the wider system,” Hodson added. “Kensington360 is about clarity, continuity, and seeing the whole picture, something that has always been central to how we work.”
