Quantum Science Shines a Spotlight on Export Success at Industry Roadshow

Quantum Science, developer of the world-leading INFIQ® quantum dot technology, will share insights into its export journey next week at an event helping to boost local businesses.

Dr Hao Pang, CEO and Founder of Quantum Science, joins a panel talk at the ‘Made in Liverpool, Sold to the World’ event on March 27 to discuss how exporting INFIQ quantum dots to Japan has helped the company grow.

The roadshow, held at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, highlights the opportunities for local businesses to expand trade in the global market, and how exporting can fuel innovation in the local region.

Exports in the Liverpool City Region are expected to grow to £11.8 billion by 2030, according to government data.

Dr Pang said: “Exporting has opened some fantastic commercial prospects for Quantum Science, with an increase in customers covering an array of important market segments. The opportunities that have emerged as a result of our export journey have contributed to our rapid growth. I’m looking forward to sharing our story with attendees at Made in Liverpool, Sold to the World, to hopefully help other local businesses take their next steps into exciting overseas markets.”

Quantum Science began exporting after appointing an agent to begin developing the business in Japan, which is a leading market for semiconductor and electronics innovation.

It has since worked closely alongside JETRO – the Japan External Trade Organisation – and now manages distribution through a local partner, Nishimura Chemitech.

Made in Liverpool, Sold to the World is delivered by the Government’s Department for Business and Trade as part of a wider strategy to increase UK business exports.
