New HQ Unveiled for Rapidly Expanding Tech Firm

One of the UK’s fastest-growing specialist smart city infrastructure businesses has moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art headquarters to cater for its rapid rise and expansion.

Connexin’s new base – designed and fitted-out by commercial design and fit-out specialists Chameleon Business Interiors – is now home to more than 150 people, following its acquisition of two other internet providers over the last year.

The Yorkshire-based firm wanted a new hub that would bring the new teams together under one roof, to share learnings and collaborate, building a strong company culture.

The new 8,500sqft workspace includes a high-tech auditorium that facilitates the technical needs of a world-leading pioneer in the sector. It provides a much-needed platform for team members – many of whom have joined as a result of the recent acquisitions.

Connexin’s new 30-seat auditorium consists of two rows of padded seating along two sides of the space, while additional luxury seating has been installed in the centre. A large screen and projector provide a focus for the auditorium, allowing it to be used for presentations and training programmes. The aim being to create an environment that attracts colleagues back into the office to enhance collaboration and bond the newly-expanded team together.

Located at K3 Business Park in Hull, East Yorkshire the new HQ is the second collaboration between Connexin and Chameleon.

Shaun Watts, chairman of Chameleon, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Connexin on the transformative project. He said: “We thrive on partnering with pioneering brands that make a tangible impact on the world around them. Recognising the significance of connectivity in the workplace, we were thrilled to collaborate with Connexin on their new headquarters.

“Getting to know the team, we understood the paramount importance of creating a space that encourages coming together, learning from one another, and establishing a vibrant work environment. Connexin’s vision for a fun and flexible workspace aligned perfectly with our expertise.”

The new headquarters, the second collaboration between Connexin and Chameleon, also features a state-of-the-art café as part of the refurbishment. This addition provides an inviting space for colleagues to unwind, foster social bonds, and further enhance the overall experience within the facility.

Furqan Alamgir, CEO of Connexin, praised Chameleon’s approach and the impact of the project. He commented: “We are delighted to unveil our new headquarters, which symbolises Connexin’s rapid growth and commitment to technological excellence.

“Chameleon’s expertise and dedication to creating innovative workspaces perfectly complemented our vision. The result is a cutting-edge facility that supports collaboration, fosters creativity, and ultimately drives our mission to transform cities through smart infrastructure.”

Chameleon specialises in creating people-inspired workspaces for clients across the UK, as well as internationally. The team has worked with brands including Dojo, Corelogic and Ideagen to design inspirational new working environments that prioritise wellness, technology and sustainability.
