Beckhoff Automation will demonstrate how integrated control technology can support smarter, more energy-efficient buildings at Smart Buildings Show 2026. The show will take place at ExCeL London on October 14 and 15, and visitors will be able to find Beckhoff on stand C47, where the company will showcase four demonstrations covering key aspects of modern building automation.
Beckhoff’s PC-based control technology can integrate functions including lighting, HVAC and energy measurement within a single automation platform. By reducing the need for separate control systems, this approach can simplify building automation while making it easier to collect and use data from across a facility.
Two demonstration walls will focus on lighting solutions and building automation topology. These will demonstrate how different building functions can be brought together within a common automation architecture, giving operators greater visibility and control across building systems. The stand will also feature two demonstrations focusing on electric vehicle charging and energy monitoring.
“Smart buildings depend on more than simply connecting individual technologies,” explained Karl Walker, market development manager at Beckhoff UK. “The real opportunity comes from bringing building functions together so that they can share information and be managed as part of one coherent system.
“At Smart Buildings Show, we want to demonstrate this principle in a practical way. The four demos cover different applications, from lighting control and energy monitoring to EV charging, but they all show how an open, integrated automation platform can give building owners and system integrators greater flexibility over how they design, operate and develop their buildings.”
Beckhoff’s scalable PC-based control platform supports a range of building automation functions and communication standards, allowing systems to be adapted to the requirements of individual projects. This can range from individual room and lighting control through to energy monitoring and the integration of wider building services.
Visitors can see all four demonstrations and speak to Beckhoff UK & Ireland’s building automation specialists on stand C47 at Smart Buildings Show, ExCeL London, on October 14 and 15, 2026.
