CWIEME Berlin 2025 concluded after three days of innovation, connection and collaboration at Messe Berlin. The leading global event for coil winding, insulation and electrical manufacturing brought together industry leaders, engineers, academics and future talent to shape the future of electrical manufacturing.
This year’s event welcomed thousands of quality attendees, including representatives from 87 different countries. Among these were participants from Hitachi, Hyundai, LG Electronics, Logitech, NIDEC, Nike, Bosch, Rolls-Royce, Schaeffler, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Tesla, Toshiba, Toyota and more.
The show’s conference programme featured more than 90 expert speakers, covering key themes such as automation, sustainability, digitalisation and supply chain transformation. From e-mobility breakthroughs to leadership insights, the event proved once again why CWIEME Berlin is the cornerstone of the global electrical engineering calendar.
The opening day was marked with a visit from Franziska Giffey, Berlin State Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises, who praised the event’s role in driving innovation.
Visitors explored the buzzing Innovation Zone, which hosted well-attended Power Hour presentations from its exhibitors throughout the show, and expanded Academic Excellence Hub, and the launch of the Electric Avenue helped guide guests through five exhibition halls filled with the world’s most forward-thinking companies.
Day two spotlighted diversity and executive leadership, with a compelling Women in Engineering panel hosted by Safinaz Aybar, Owner of Tempek. Experts called for greater female representation in the sector. Meanwhile, the newly-launched C-Suite Club offered an exclusive space for senior executives to tackle industry-shaping issues like the talent gap and geopolitical challenges.
While day three may have marked the close of the exhibition, it also marked the future. The Future Engineers programme took centre stage, giving students and young professionals first-hand experience of the industry. Highlights included an engaging panel discussion on career opportunities in engineering, featuring spokespeople from TRUMPF, Schneider Electric, thyssenkrupp and Hitachi Energy.
The programme underscored CWIEME’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of electrical engineers.
Beyond the conference rooms, networking flourished at returning favourites like the beer gardens, happy hour, the Community Welcome Party and AfterWinding Party, ensuring CWIEME Berlin remained not just a marketplace, but a celebration of shared purpose.
The Country Pavilions offered attendees a global perspective on electrical manufacturing advancements, highlighting unique strengths and innovations from various nations. The Swiss Pavilion, introduced this year, showcased the country’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions through world-class engineering.
India’s Pavilion featured cutting-edge advancements in power electronics, including next-generation transformers and smart grid technologies, reflecting the country’s growing role in the global electrical manufacturing landscape.
The Czech Republic Pavilion showcased the nation’s strengths in industrial automation, with displays of innovative robotics and control systems designed to optimise production processes. These pavilions not only provided insights into regional expertise but also fostered networking opportunities, enabling attendees to forge partnerships and gain market intelligence from different parts of the world.
