Room to Reward Named Charity Partner of the Energy & Environment Alliance Summit

Room to Reward are delighted to be named as the official charity partner of the Energy & Environment Alliance (EEA) Summit, taking place on Tuesday 28th March at The Westin London City hotel.

The second iteration of the annual Summit is dedicated to investment and innovation in Net Zero Carbon and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) leadership for hotels. Room to Reward will encourage hotel owners and asset managers to consider how they could use a handful of unsold rooms a year to recognise those who volunteer so much of their time to make a difference to people and places in need.

We are delighted to welcome Room to Reward to our summit,” said Ufi Ibrahim, CEO of the EEA. “Hotel room nights are perishable items, and this is a brilliant charity that puts a wasted asset to fantastic use. It’s a simple donation with a hugely significant impact and I would encourage all attendees to find out more.”

Founded in 2015, Room to Reward works on a straightforward premise. Hotels donate their unsold rooms, charities and community groups nominate their most outstanding volunteers, who are then given a short break in recognition of their dedication.

We are enormously grateful to everyone at the EEA for this wonderful opportunity,” said Adam Terpening, Director of Room to Reward. “Ufi has been an amazing supporter of ours since the earliest days of our journey and we look forward to a great event.”

Approximately 800 hotels across the U.K. are already part of Room to Reward. Collectively, they have donated breaks to more than 2000 nominated volunteers from over 800 charities in rooms that would otherwise sit empty.
