QUECLINK ADDS FIRST REAL-TIME MICRO TRACKER TO IOT PRODUCT PORTFOLIO

Queclink Wireless Solutions, a global provider of IoT devices and hardware, has launched its smallest-ever GPS location device with the introduction of a real-time micro tracker. The GL30 possesses an ultra-compact and rugged design, multi-network connectivity, and enhanced location capabilities, making it ideal for a wide range of people, pet and asset tracking applications.

“There is growing demand for smaller and more powerful trackers that can provide accurate, timely updates for a variety of tracking needs, from personal safety and pet tracking to asset monitoring and event timing,” explains Alejandro Patino, Vice President of Global Sales at Queclink Wireless Solutions. “The GL30 extends our product portfolio with a device that is half the size and 60% lighter than our existing compact solution, as well as adding advanced capabilities for indoor-and event-based tracking.”

The LTE Cat M1/NB2 micro tracker measures just 60 × 31.7 × 19.66mm, weighs 27.6g, and has an IP67 waterproof rating for use in harsh environments. It uses LTE Cat M1/NB2 technology, with 2G fallback and cellular base positioning, for diverse tracking needs that demand accurate and timely location updates. Wi-Fi scanning detects when the device is near a known network and switches to power-saving mode, while BLE 5.2 connectivity means it can pair with beacons for asset management or accessory integration.

The GL30 has flexible reporting and power modes that maximise battery-life. Depending on reporting intervals, it can last up to 170 days in standby mode, providing flexible options to best manage battery life versus reporting frequency. Advanced motion detection and geozone functionality also allows for highly configurable alerts based on precise tracking requirements.

“We are constantly listening to our technology partners to understand the needs of the marketplace and how we can use our proven expertise to help. This means we can continue to expand our range of tracking units, dashcams and industrial routers with reliable, cost-effective and feature-rich solutions that deliver sophisticated IoT applications,” adds Patino.
