Group Rhodes To Showcase Latest Innovations at Advanced Engineering Exhibition (29th & 30th October)

Group Rhodes, one of the largest Original Equipment Manufacturers in its field, will be promoting the company’s latest innovations in machinery for hot and cold forming of metals and composites at the Advanced Engineering show (29/30th October) at the NEC, Birmingham.

The company, which has over 200 years of machinery manufacturing history, has recently completed several major export and domestic projects, including three Laser Deposition lines for a customer in North America, and three specialised hot platen composite forming presses destined for the UK aerospace sector.

On the research and development front, the company is excited to be developing an innovative vibration-based condition monitoring system, incorporating advanced signal processing and machine learning algorithms to detect early-stage abrasive wear and local damage to bearings, gearboxes, shafts, and other critical components. Working in conjunction with a local University, the aim of the project is to significantly reduce the downtime and disruption for the end user by enabling predictive maintenance to reduce the impact of costly production failures.

Mark Roberts, Engineering Design Manager at Group Rhodes, explains: “Advanced Engineering is a great opportunity for us to discuss our latest developments and innovations with visitors who may be looking for us to help them solve their machinery and equipment challenges. We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible to our stand.”

Group Rhodes actively manufactures and markets state-of-the-art machinery from its facilities in Wakefield, West Yorkshire which it sells to both the UK and Global Markets. The company has extensive capabilities including the design, development and manufacture of bespoke equipment and complete turnkey solutions for the aerospace, automotive and defence and general industries.

The main trading divisions of the Group consist of Rhodes Interform, Craven Fawcett,   Hallamshire Engineering Services and BJD Crushers which manufacture machinery and spare parts for the aggregates, heavy clay and material handling sectors.
